A Visit from Canarian Authors – Secondary Department

On Monday 27th May, to celebrate Canary Islands Day, a meet & greet with the authors of literary works studied by our Y9 and Y10 students was organised by our Spanish Language & Literature department.

Y9 students were paid a visit by Carlos González Sosa, the author of ‘Datana’. The visit included a talk and debate with the author, followed by a book-signing session.

Y10 students were visited by Miguel Ángel Guelmí, the author of ‘El valeroso hombre delgado’, a book which was worked on in class during term 2. Students participated in a talk with the author.

Both literary visits provided a truly rewarding experience, allowing students to meet in person and interact with the authors of books recently studied in class.
