Sport Stars – Optimist success

The Grandcanarian sailor, Jaime Ayarza, student at Oakley College, has won the bronze medal in the World Optimist Championship held in the Caribbean Island of Antigua. Jaime Ayarza stood firm in the fight to reach the podium in the World Championship, where he participated as a member of the Spanish male team along with other three Canarian sailors. Jaime ended up in third position proving an amazing development. The speedy blond, who finished in 6th position in the Spanish Championship and fourth in the Spanish Cup this year, displayed exceptional quality ending up 52 points ahead of the fourth classified.
