Community Service and Community Service Projects

Community Service Projects

All students at Oakley College take part in the Community service programme, giving their time and energy to support others, while developing valuable skills and enjoying life-changing experiences. Community service is delivered through the PSHE lessons by tutors and supervised by Key stage managers. It is expected with guidance that the students find and organise their own placements and report back on these through the year. They provide written, signed and photographic evidence of their placement and this is shown in their final presentation at the end of the year.

It is expected that KS3 complete a minimum of 6 hours community service a year. KS4 complete a minimum of 12 hours community service a year and for KS5 a minimum of 18 hours community service a year.
